What is Membership Medicine?
Membership Medicine, also known as concierge medicine, is built on a subscription model rather than simply a pay-for-service model, as in traditional primary care.
Membership Medicine practices see a limited number of patients, allowing providers to see patients on demand, while offering longer, more in-depth appointments.
Fees and Services
What does the annual fee get me?
The annual fee gets you membership to a primary practice that has a small number of patients. As a result, providers and staff can offer more personalized service to patients. It does not include office or telemedicine visits which are billed separately.
Do you take insurance?
Providers at NPC are considered “out-of-network” providers with all commercial insurance plans. As such, patients are responsible for all fees for services rendered but providers. NPC will, however, submit a claim to your insurance company as a courtesy.
Do you do a family plan?
NPC does not offer a family membership plan. It does however, discount patients under the age of 40
How do I get prescription refills?
Our administrative staff handles all medication refills with the authorization of the provider. If you need a refill, you can 1) request it by calling the office, 2) send a message to our staff via our EMR, or 3) have your pharmacist request a refill from us directly.
Does the office assist with specialist referrals?
Yes. If a specialist is needed, your provider will recommend the most appropriate specialist for your condition. Our administrative staff will provide contact information for the specialist and send relevant information to them in preparation for your appointment.
Do you accept Medicare?
Providers at NPC are fully opted-out of Medicare. As such, no claims can be submitted for services rendered to Medicare but wither the practice or the patient.
